Background
Educated Esher C of E Primary School, KCS Wimbledon and Brixton School of Building (now the University of the South Bank where GN also lectured), Graham is the son of a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and trained/qualified as the same gaining wide experience of all types of commercial residential and social buildings.
Local Interests
A one time young farmer, keen cyclist and continuing advanced motorcyclist with a wide ranging interest in classic and other vehicles of all types at Brooklands Museum and elsewhere, GN knows Surrey and the South West corridor from London like the back of his hand.
Shooting at Bisley, sailing at Send, golf at various venues, biking, dog-walking and caravanning, all contribute to an in-depth understanding of the property and its ‘location, location, location’ in Surrey and the South East/West.He was also a Youth Leader in Hinchley Wood Church, a Guildford Diocesan C of E Ordinand and is keenly involved in Gideons International
30+ years
GN established Newtons in 1974 providing survey and design services to private clients and commerce. He still prefers to conduct his own surveys rather than “drive a desk”. He brings a wealth of experience enabling him to take a pragmatic view of defects in and damage to buildings and seeing solutions rather than often improbable problems.
The Future
GN is now ably assisted by Johanna Rousham BSc(Hons), DipHI, TechRICS who, as his keen apprentice, brings youthful enthusiasm and her good looks plus charming smile to maintain the zest and zeal for which Newtons Chartered Surveyors have been renowned for many years.
